This session will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the tech start-up investment journey. We'll cover the key funding stages founders need to navigate when growing their business, outlining what investors are looking for at every step of the way.

In under 2 hours we're going to take you from early stage seed all the way through to exit.

You'll hear about the right time to consider equity funding, how to value your business, the right type of co-investors and the sorts of returns investors are looking for. We'll even explain how to push towards IPO, but not before we've built you a bridge over the infamous 'valley of death' that is late stage seed funding and explained how to navigate your way to Series A.

Once you've got to grips with how to secure your growth through investment, we'll round off the event with a more personal look at the funding experience by talking to some of Development Bank's portfolio company founders – from those just setting out on their growth journey to those pushing for the summit.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in building a tech start-up or super charging the growth of their company.

This event is pitched at those with a basic to good comprehension of the equity funding landscape. That means you should at least understand most of the basic tech investment terms such as 'seed', 'equity', 'venture capital', and 'technology readiness levels' etc, and be looking to build upon them.

Want to brush up on your funding knowledge in advance so you get the most out of our event? Then check out the 'Making your tech business investment ready' session from Business Wales just before ours.
